Over the years, the founders of Zensed have tried many new and promising anti-fraud tools in an attempt to compete against fraudulent activity. Our high-risk card programs business has always been a target for Fraud and staying ahead of the fraudsters is a continual challenge. Despite using supposedly industry leading anti-fraud tools, fraudster sophistication overtook any short-term Fraud improvements achieved resulting in onerous restrictions on our merchant accounts that hampered business growth and increased operational costs.

We needed a different approach from the traditional anti-fraud tools previously used. The founders of Zensed decided to take things into our own hands; using our knowledge of business processes and the deficiencies experienced with other systems Zensed was built, validated and refined over a two-year period. Zensed is a truly automated Fraud prevention system with no reliance on human interaction. Using machine learning and artificial intelligence modelling, we built our platform to continually analyze and improve anti-fraud results and to monitor, react and adapt to new sources and trends in fraudulent activity.

Our clients (merchants, payment service providers etc.) pass transaction information to Zensed using our REST API. The Zensed system uses this information and automatically cross-references this data with Fraud patterns and trends in the Zensed proprietary modelling platform. These pattern and trend models have been built and refined after analyzing millions of client transactions and the Zensed machine learning platform is designed to continually improve results; the more data we receive the better Zensed results get.

The Zensed system rapidly analyses the entire cross referenced patterns in the data related to the client transaction and provides a score presented as a risk percentage regarding how likely it is that the transaction will need to be refunded or will cause a chargeback.

Our clients have their own portal access to the Zensed back office system where they can react to all their transaction results. Where a transaction has been identified as potentially fraudulent this is marked with a certain Fraud risk percentage or in a certain risk group. The client then decides if they wish to block a transaction or perhaps add extra validation checks where a transaction is a borderline case.

Zensed presents the predicted outcome to the client with a score based upon likely Fraud and risk of chargeback. The client can act on the Zensed result as they choose although we do provide our experience and findings to clients as part of the business relationship as and when required. At any, the client can time check up on a specific transaction to see why it was marked at a certain percentage. Upon looking up a transaction, the client will see basic user information and key elements that was crucial when the system set its risk percentage.
